Nancy Tichborne - Artist

Nancy Tichborne is a New Zealand watercolour artist with an international following. She received a scholarship to train at the St Martin's School of Art in London and has lived and worked in Great Britain and Hong Kong. Currently Nancy lives on a 4 hectare (11 acre) rural property on Banks Peninsula in the South Island of New Zealand, where she and her husband Bryan have a large garden.

Nancy's style of watercolours is quite unique. Her uncompromising technical ability and the way she captures the effects of light on her subjects, has made her one of the world's leading watercolorists. Her work has universal appeal and has found favour in many countries.  In May 2007, Nancy was appointed Patron of Watercolour New Zealand... a post she was honoured to accept.
